ATHENA has partnered with ICW Global, the Global Coalition on Women and AIDS (GCWA), The Salamander Trust, the Positive Women's Network, WECARe+, and Network Persone Seropositive (NPS) to create the Women's Networking Zone (WNZ) partnership at the upcoming IAS Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment and Prevention from 17-20 July in Rome. In Rome, the WNZ partnership will be sponsoring a Satellite session, Town Hall meeting, and exhibition booth that focus on gender equity in the HIV response.
The Town Hall meeting, "Achieveing sexual and reproductive rights for all women and girls through the HIV response" will also feature the launch of the joint ATHENA/GCWA report " Community Innovation: Achieving Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for Women and Girls through the HIV Response." The Town Hall and report launch will be held from 17:00-20:00 on Monday, 18 July and will be followed by a reception.
The Women's Networking Zone booth will be up through the duration of the conference in the exhibition area. The booth will feature a number of "critical dialogues" as well as opportunities for informal networking and sharing with others in the field.
