|Gender Responsive Budgeting and Women’s Reproductive Rights: a Resource Pack|
AUTHOR: UNFPA and UNIFEM
This publication provides relevant knowledge to facilitate mainstreaming gender responsive approaches into reproductive health programs and the inclusion of specific aspects of gender inequality and disadvantage into national policy frameworks. It focuses primarily on reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, and violence against women as it relates to health services. The resource pack is structured in the form of brief “sheets” on different aspects of gender-responsive budgeting (GRB) and includes descriptions of a range of GRB in several countries to illustrate different aspects and tools. It is intended for use in developing countries and looks at how GRB can be used to direct attention to those who are most in need and those who are disadvantaged by their gender, economic status, location, and other characteristics.
