This publication highlights Nigeria’s successful mainstreaming of gender equality into the National Strategic Framework and can be utilized by other countries for guidance in this respect.  This publication is divided into two main parts. Part One provides a situational analysis of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Nigeria. Part Two highlights Nigeria’s response to HIV/AIDS and achievements, lessons learned, challenges, and recommendations. The report underscores the importance of mainstreaming gender as a cross-cutting issue within the national response and promotes a deeper understanding and commitment to gender-responsive HIV responses.
