AUTHOR: International Planned Parenthood Federation, Western Hemisphere Region This self-assessment module strives to cover a number of special topics, including gender, youth, groups with particular vulnerabilities, minimum standards for undertaking integration, AIDS care, and mother to child transmission. The methodology for the STI/HIV/AIDS integration module consists of the following steps: Choosing a coordinator; identifying participants for the self-assessment exercise; collecting internal data; holding an informational meeting and filling out individual; questionnaires; tabulating the responses; holding an analysis workshop and developing an action plan; and distributing the action plan and ensuring follow-up. The entire process is estimated to take a total of 20 to 24 hours. The module has been field-tested in Brazil, Mexico, Peru, and Mozambique.
