This resource pack aims to help policy makers and service providers develop a gender-based approach to their work on HIV/AIDS and STDs. The book describes what this means, why it is important and how it may be achieved. The text is illustrated with personal stories and examples from programmes around the world. The tool cards and posters are designed as guides for practical activities to promote gender awareness as well as attitude and behavior change. The pack consists of two parts: a book and easy-to-photocopy instructional activity cards.
